it has been 9 years since the red devils won their last champions league back in Barcelona and in 2008 they did again with a lot of patience and drama at Luhzniki stadium in Russia. It was a tense battle between Manchester United and Chelsea, Man United started the brightest as they cruised on to take the lead in the 20th minute , A rocket header from Ronaldo sends the ball home and United are in the lead. Suddenly Manchester United looked Vulnerable at the back as Essien's shot was deflected and the ball drop nicely in the path of Frank Lampard as he equalised for Avram Grant's side. No goals in the 2nd half but Chelsea was the dominant force till extra time. Drogba was sent off 5 minutes before the penalty shootout. Ronaldo's missed penalty gave united's fans a scare and Chelsea took full advantage of that miss and It was up to John terry and he missed it as he failed to composed himself and slipped. It was a tense moment till Van der sar saved Anelka's penalty and gave united their 3rd champions league title. Chelsea played very well and gave united a good battle which is worth watching it till the end.
